"Hi this is Stephanie and now Im going to talk about basic design principles into scrapbook. Like I said earlier theres not really any rules about scrapbooking but you definately want to try to make designs that are gonna be pleasing for the eye. You always want your photos to be to be the focal point of the page not what you've put on it. I mean that's the important part of your page no matter what. One thing that you can do is try to make a visual triangle. it's very pleasing to the eye when you look and everything is a triangle your eyes tend to follow in that way. You want to make, sometimes putting pictures in the edge kind of draws interest to the page more than if there just out on randomly also here's an example of the visual triangle with the embelishments. I put them in a triangle and your eye tends to naturally follow and notice everything about it because of that. Another thing with embelishments is if you put them in odd numbers for some reason that tends to be more pleasing to the eye for example the three buttons, the three flowers it just tends to be something that you notice and like more. When you put your photo on your page another important thing that I find is if your subject is kind of looking to the side you dont want to put him on that side of the page because he looks like he's looking off the page you want him to be, it'll look better here, or even in the middle. You also dont always have to put your pictures you know completely straight you know turn it to a little angle it definately adds interest. Experiment with what looks best. If it looks good to you than it's gonna look good to whoevers looking at your scrapbook so just try to make designs that are the most pleasing to the eye and you'll have a good page. "
