"Hi! This is Stephanie. I'm here to talk about the cardstock in your scrap books. Cardstock is probably the core of scrap booking. It's the most important paper you can use. You can use just cardstock and create page. It comes in all kinds of different colors. You can use it to stamp on, to use as mats; you can use it as a background. Cardstock is just super, super important. There's types of cardstocks. There's just the regular kind of cardstock. It's nice thick paper. Some people think it looks like construction paper. It's not construction paper. It's a totally different weight. It's sturdy; it's thick. This is regular cardstock. It also comes with a texture. Texture card stock is neat because it adds a different kind of dimension to your pages. There are also 2 different types of textured cardstock. This type of cardstock has a white core. If you look on the side, you'll know what kind of core you have. This one is very thin, but you can see it's white. If you tear it, you're then going to have the white part. Be aware of that. The other type is the same color all the way through. It's thicker weight than the white core, and if you tear it you're going to have the same color. The torn paper is cool, so if you want to have that look, go for that. Otherwise, get the white core. Like I said, you can do a whole layout with just cardstock. Here's one where I just used no other embellishments but cardstock. You can cut, punch, and just work it out the best way that you can and choose the colors that work with your pages. I definitely recommend any type of cardstock."
