"This is Stephanie and I want to talk about other tools that you can use in scrapbooking. Besides the standard inks and pads there are also other things that you can do. I mentioned embossing, where you have to get a heat embossing gun. This is a thick embossing powder you would use with the gun and it makes a clear kind of cover. My embossing gun isn't working right or I would demonstrate that. You can also get it in various other colors and this will come up the color you want. For example, here's something that I embossed previously, awhile ago. It's harder to tell probably on the camera but its kinda shiny and it caught the color of the powder. It's grainy that way. Also with the embossing powder, I had plain gold brads, I just dipped that in the hot embossing powder and it matches perfectly my stamped image. So I have the same color on my embellishments and my brads. Another good thing you can use is walnut ink. Walnut ink gives a tint. They usually come in a dabber like this. You can also get a powder that you mix. I find the dabber is much easier to use and these can color the paper you want. You gotta get it going, it takes a little while to get moving. Then you get the ink and you just rub it on and it changes and ages the paper to that degree. And you can add as much or as little as you want, and it will change to whatever color walnut ink that you have. Another tool that you can get is a brayer. A brayer is a good way to add ink if you want to have another way to change colors. You can use it on the spectrum pad with the different colors, and catch all the different colors. For plain paper just roll it across and it applies the ink very evenly to your page. Those are just some of the tools that you can use and experiment with and will all work well on your pages."
