"Hi! I'm Stephanie. I'm going to be talking about using acrylic stamps in your scrap book. Acrylic stamps are stamps that are clear all the way through. They make it easy for you to see what you're doing. You can quite get that thing with the mounted stamp because you can't see underneath it. With an acrylic stamp, you see exactly where it's going to go and what it's going to look like. There's two types of acrylic stamps. This acrylic stamp is just already made. It's already mounted permanently. This is not the most common kind. The most common kind are unmounted gel acrylic stamps. They're really sticky. Keep them on this plastic. They'll go right back on the plastic. They usually leave a little space, so they're easy to store that way. You can put them on with double-sided tape on wood if you want, but it's pretty cheap just to buy nice acrylic blocks that you still can see. The idea of acrylic stamps is to see where you're going to go, so you want to get a clear block. These ones we'll stick right on. You don't need anything. They’ll stick on and stay where you want to go. These are a little harder to use with the pad, but not hard. They might move if you press too hard, so you just want to once again, twist a little bit, rub it, push it down on the pad a bit. The thing about acrylic stamps is it doesn’t look like there's any ink on it. I've been surprised by that so much and think I don't have enough ink, I have to rub more on. It just doesn't look like it is, but the minute that you press it down on the paper, you'll start to see the ink show up. You'll see the colors come and you'll lift it up and you've got the image. Acrylic stamps come in lots of different varieties. They're small and easy to store. They're much more inexpensive than hard rubber stamps, so they're definitely a good investment."
