"Hi! I'm Stephanie. I'm going to talk about unmounted stamps in your scrap book. Unmounted stamps are the least expensive of the rubber stamps because they don't have the expensive wood to use. A lot of times they'll come in a sheet, or they'll just come like this where you have to cut it out. Cutting out your stamps. It's really important. You want to get really close to the image. So close that you're afraid you're going to cut it. Otherwise, if you leave a lot of this rubber hanging off, that's going to catch onto your ink and you're going to get part of your image that you really don't want to use. Just cut really, really close and it'll work for you. Another thing that you do. It's sometimes hard to store them. What I did is I got a set of alphabet stamps that were unmounted. I just found this CD case and I put some double-sided tape, and then I can put the stamps on like that and they stick to the double-sided tape. It's a really easy way to store them. Otherwise, they get mixed up and messed around, so you can just keep them like that. If you want to use a mounted stamp, you can stamp using just this, but you're likely going to get a lot of ink on your hands and you're maybe going to get the image that you want. If you have a spare piece of wood you can use it that way, or you can find another stamp and put it on the back of that. Anything that you want. Just get a piece of double-sided tape, stick it on what you want to use with it and pull it off. Put the stamp on the double-sided tape and you're good to go. You would use it just like you would use any other mounted stamp. Rub it gently, give it a little twist, get the image on, stamp it, and it looks just the same as any kind of stamp and gives you really neat image. I definitely going for unmounted stamps if you want to be economic and get a good collection."
