"Hi! This is Stephanie. I'm going to talk about mounting stamps in your scrap book. Mounted stamps are the most common kinds of stamps. They're the ones that have the rubber on the back and are attached to the wood. You want to make sure you open up your pad and use them. I find if you put it on and twist it a couple of times, you more than adequate amount of ink. I've seen a lot of people go bam, bam, bam trying to get their ink on. That's not necessary. That's stamp abuse and you don't really nee to do that. To put it on, you want to press firmly, but not too firmly. If you press too hard, what happens is this all catches and you'll get an image on here that you don't really want. You'll get the edges of the stamp instead of just the image itself. Press firmly, but not too firmly and you get the good image. You can then cut it out and use it however you want to. Sometimes when you press the ink down, you might get some ink on this wood. Don't worry about that. It doesn't affect your image. It just shows that your stamps are well loved. Like I said, right here I just got some on. You generally get some ink on your hands, but using mounted stamps are very fun."
