"Hi this is Sufi, I'm back with Expert Village. I'm going to uncover the posterior leg at this point and begin working on the leg. It's very important that the sheet is wrapped and tucked tightly because you don't want to have a battle of the sheets when you're going into message, so it's just a nice little clean fold this way and then that way. Secondly, I'm going to grab the oil. It's very important too to ask the client what kind of oil they like, sometimes people have an allergic reactions to different types of oil so just baby oils or olive oils so as much information as you can get about the client's condition for their skin as possible, the better. This is basically a circulatory massage that I'm demonstrating to you now. This particular move is called efflarage which is basically just to get the blood circulating. You'll have to add as much oil or as least oil as the person needs. In this case, I'm going to start out it's always good to start out light with the oil because you can always add it in afterwards, but sometimes it's a little bit more difficult to take the oil off. So in this case, I'm just going back and forth. I'm remembering to stay in my legs and not push from my arms, but push from the actual legs. This is called an efflarage. I'm going to take this and do stripping, which is basically pinpointing the muscles in the legs. I'll start out here with the gastronomies which is the calf muscle and I'll take two of my thumbs one finger actually, one thumb or two thumbs, whichever one you like and place it on the anterior part of the muscle and just take as much time as needed and follow my legs all the way through. And it's always good to pull it out end it with an efflarage. I'm going to go back in with the same tools but then I'm going to take the medial side and I'm going to push up. What this is basically doing is stripping the muscles and giving them oxygen. I'm going to repeat that one more time, again this is a circulatory massage. Its basic functions is just to get the muscles hydrated and what willmocha. I talk to my client earlier and they filled out on the sheet that they would like a lighter massage. Its very important to ask your client what kind of massage. Swedish massages usually are circulatory and they're a lot quicker. What I'm doing is a Tai Chi approach so it's a little slower and it's allowing my hands to meet the body in a very fluid way. This is called petrisage. Its function is also to open up the muscles."
