"I'm Sylva Kelegian with Expert Village and we are going to be talking about the importance of keeping your dog safe so that it cannot be stolen and sold to research labs. Here in LA and across the country, it's a very very prominent, unfortunate occurrence that happens, that people steal dogs from back yards and they sell them to research labs. And the research labs ask no questions about anything, they just take the dogs in. So what I suggest you do is when you're not home, leave your dog inside, don't leave it out in the back yard for someone could jump the fence and take the dog. Really, really important because you will never get that dog back. And we've had some dogs that have been taken from different friends of ours and signs have been posted and you realize, you know, that oh my dog was in the front yard for five minutes and he disappeared. Well, also the dog can get out but also people steal dogs just because if they see a cute dog and they like the dog, they're going to jump the fence and steal your dog. Just do your dog a favor and keep that dog safe and make sure that dog is in the house when you're not home. Have a doggie door so he can go in and out to go to the bathroom, please keep your dog safe. "
