Sewing the Top Together for Making a Tote Bag

"Hi I'm Terri Turco with Expert Village. You see the top itself, you see that opening there this is the whole top. We are just going to sew all the way around. So let's get started in the machine, shall we? We have our fashion fabric, you are going to put it in the machine. Remember we are not going to run over any pins and you can go slow on this, don't feel like you are in a hurry. Cause you really want this to work out perfectly. So you just put your fashion fabric down underneath your needle. Lower your throw plate and we are going to sew. Now don't stretch it too much but you do want to make sure as you are sewing you take out your pins. Never sew over pins it is not good for your machine or your needle. You always want to make sure that your handle is going straight down and it is. We are doing well. So we are just going to sew the entire top all the way around until we come to the very end. If you get a little edge that is kind of gapping there just go by hand and pull it up so it is equal to itself. So we are going to come right back. You just keep taking out those pins cause we are going to sew the entire top all the way around. When we come back we will turn it inside out and we will be almost be done with our tote bag. You are going to love it so hurry back. "
