"Hi I'm Terri Turco with Expert Village and we are making a very fashionable tote bag so you can carry anything you want in it. Now tote bags are so simple and easy. I just want to show you how we are going to start with the body of the tote bag. We basically took our tissue which was our pattern and it is thirty inches by eighteen. I cut some fabric out just to give you an idea. You are going to need two of the same length and width. It should be exactly equal. Okay so make sure when you cut it, it is exactly equal and you are only going to have one seam. Sometimes people cut tote bags and they have two seams one on each side. But I'm going to show you a very simple and easy way to cut down and make this tote bag in a matter of minutes. Then what we are going to do to just to get the ball rolling is we are going to cut out four pieces of the handle. You need a front and a back to sew together as you see here. It is the front and a back so that is two pieces there and two pieces here. Now when we come back we are going to show you the fashion fabric and how we are going to put that together. What is really important is that you use your user fabric of the same weight. We are going to be working with a light weight vintage cotton. This is a very beautiful iridescent satin so you always want to really want to work with light fabric. So you don't have to worry about sagging or running or stretching with other fabrics. So when we come back you would see the cutest vintage fabric that you have not seen in a long time and a darling little tote bag. "
