"Hi, I’m Tim Ambrosuis and I am a professional guitar technician for Expert Village.com. I am going to explain to you a couple of miscellaneous inputs on your amplifier. This one here and a lot of smaller amplifiers will have headphone jack on the front of it or maybe on the back of it. This one has one. What the headphone jack will do is simple. It cuts off the speaker so that any late night practicing you know or maybe the neighbors don’t want to listen to you practice it will cut off the speaker and you can practice all night. This one also has a CD tape you can put on it and when you are generally first start learning you want to play along with your favorite bands so hook up your CD player, put it into your amplifier and play along with it. This one over here has a preamp out on it. Now what’s wrong with your preamp out would be into another power amp so if it has two 12’s in it you want to run another 412 cabinet along with it you run your pre-amp out into a power amp and then you run your power amp into another cabinet and get a lot louder.
