"Hi my name is Tim Ambrosuis. I am a professional guitar technician for ExpertVillage.com and I am going to explain to you how to hook up your amplifier to a cabinet. Now on the back of your amplifier you are going to have your speaker outputs, this one has a main and an extension. What you would want to use first like it says is you are going to use your main. First you want to check on the back of your cabinet how many Ohms it is set for and you want to match the Ohms on your amplifier to the Ohms on the cabinet. That is a very important thing; you always want to check what your ohms are set on your amplifier and what they are on the back of your cabinet. And then what you want to do is get a speaker cord and you want to make sure that it is a speaker cord and not an instrument cable because a speaker cord is going to have a thicker cable. With an instrument cable the gauge is going to be a lot thinner and it does potentially have the possibility of catching on fire so you want to make sure that you do get a speaker cord with a thicker gauge wire. And it is just as easy as that once you have your Ohms matched up, just plug it from the main to the back of the cabinet and it is all ready to go. "
