" Hello! I’m Stephany from Stephany’s Simply Sewing on behalf of expertvillage.com. You can make a handmade garment on a sewing machine that is not very expensive or very fancy if you remember to do the following things. When you’re looking at your factory made or your ready-to-wear garments, let’s see how many construction details that we can have in our garment. This one has the enclosed flat felled seam and so does our handmade garment. This garment has a placket and so does our garment. We’ve used a collar stand and we have a collar stand in ours, along with our decorative pockets, and our placket. Now the placket in our ready to wear shirt is a bit different. It is not a continuous lap, however, there are shirts that are ready-to-wear that do have a continuous lap. I know there’s one thing that’s missing. This ready to wear shirt has a label and my shirt doesn’t. I think it needs a label, don’t you? "
