Stitching Upper & Lower Sections Together of a Seat Cover

"Hi, this is Vicki Walker from Expert Village. For the purpose of our demonstration of how to make a butterfly seat cover, we have assembled the first/the top 2 sections together. The bottom 2 sections together now I have pinned the 2 top and bottom together and I'm going to sew the 2 section together. I have them pinned matching the notches. I would sew using a 5/8 inch seam allowance again according to the instruction on the pattern. I'm using the guide on my sewing machine and most sewing machine do have some sort of guide to make sure I have an even seam. 5/8 inch all the way around. From where we have the flat felled before one was pressed one direction and one was pressed the other direction. So this section that I'm working on right now, there is not too much width that it makes it difficult for the sewing needle to go through. Because they are staggered. That would make it a little bit easier when I go through the back felled seam on this portion of the project. Otherwise I would break a sewing machine needle trying to get through the fat seam. Now that should not be a problem and that is all there is to sewing the upper and lower sections of our seat cover together. "
