"Hi, this is Vicki Walker from Expert Village. We are continuing in this clip on how to make a butterfly chair cover. We would be continuing to talk about flat felled seams. We have pressed under the seam to cover any edges that might unravel. Now we are ready to sew that seam down right along the pressed edge. Now we would get to work on sewing this edge down. This would reinforce the edge to make sure that as the seat is used, the seams would not be coming unraveled causing a hole in the chair. I'm stitching right along the pressed edge all the way down. This is the upper section that I'm working on now. Taking care that the edges are not coming out and then I would reinforce the end of the seam. When we get there, make sure that the thread does not come loose. This completes the top portion of the flat felled seam and I would be doing the same procedure on the bottom section of the seat cover when I come back. Then we would sew the 2 together on the next clip."
