"Hi, this is Vicki Walker from Expert Village. For the purpose of our demonstration on how to make a butterfly chair cover I have used pattern pieces that I have purchase in this pattern that came from a local discount store. I have decided to do that instead of making my old pattern from the old chair cover that came off of the butterfly chair and I would tell you why. First of all I would explain why I use the pattern piece and how that is done. I place the pattern pieces on the fabric. Pin them down, cut around the outside edges of the pattern taking careful not to cut around the notches on the pattern. To be sure that I have a good fit later. The reason that I have decided against using a pattern that I made my self by cutting around the outside edges of the old chair cover that came off of the chair is because I have done that in the past and did not have much success with it. The fit was not what it needed it to be. So I feel that I get much better success with using the pattern pieces that where designed for the butterfly chair cover. Those are the steps that you would need to remember when cutting out a pattern to make your butterfly cover."
