" Hi! I am Ross on behalf of expertvillage.com, windows Internet Explorer, let us check it out. How do you find a website that you visited before but you do not remember the name of it. One way is to use your history, up on the toolbar, click it, and opens up a side panel and you can see where you visited today. You can also click back the prior days or the weeks prior and start seeing where you were and once you find it, you can click on it and then you will have web pages below that, where you can click on… your history, you can also clear so this will be completely empty. You can do that like one of the tools, Internet options and on the general tab you will see history, a number of days to keep but also clear. It says do you want to clear it, click OK now if I hit history, it is empty. "

on 10/23/2008 1. Open the windows registry editor (regedit) from the command line.
2. Delete the values (adresses) that you want to get rid of at this path:
HEKY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLS
Or
run a program like SecureWindows from PC-Kitchen:
