" Hi! My name is Shawna on behalf of Expert Village, and in this clip we will talk about different types of measuring tapes. There are a lot of different types. I prefer the more plastic type measuring tape. It has the inches on one side, and it has the millimeters on the other side. I think this is about 120 inches, so it is really long and it makes measuring really easy if I am doing drapery or anything like that. It has a metal bit at the end. Sometimes you will find tiny ones that are a little bit more flimsy; they don’t’ take a lot of stress very well and I tend not to use these. They are just too hard to keep track of, but if you are doing little things, they do work well and it is easy to travel with; they are small, things like that. There are also decorative ones that are kind of fun; but these don’t take a very good beating either, and if you are using them a lot, then you want to make sure that you get a nice one. There are some that are similar to this; this type, so it will bring it out 120 inches, and you can clip it or push the button and it will wrap back up. But it also has something to hang around your neck, which really makes it nice and convenient and right where you need it. So measuring tapes are also a very good thing to have, especially when you are measuring for clothing or any thing like that. "
