"Hi, I’m Shelly Cordsen with expertvillage.com. Thank you for joining me, we’re going to make a 6x6 scrapbook. Right now I’m going to tell you what supplies you need. You need 1 12x12 of a white or cream paper and with this we’re going to make what we call a map, then you need 3 pieces of paper actually for your scrapbook. One would be a focal paper, it can be a printed, which is what makes it a lot of fun. If you’re kind of short on paper all of us have what we call combo packs of all your card stocks, different paper but we kind of lack on the little decorative stuff. Dig around, get an old newspaper, wrapping paper, a lot of our boutique stores give you stuff in a really fancy bag, cut that apart because that’s what we’re going to use. But you will need 12x12, so cut it into that size. I’m using what we call a paper pack where you can buy a pack of papers all 12x12 and they all just color coordinated, so just imagine with all these papers how thick I can make my 6x6 scrapbook and it all will be cohesive because everything coordinates. Okay we need a paper cutter, there’s a lot of varieties out there, adhesive I prefer the tombo, very easy not messy, I tend to over do it on the liquid glue so I really am partial to my tombo and a repositional tape is not necessary but it really comes in handy when you’re trying to figure out what your layout is, trying to remember which pieces go on which page cause we will be working on both sides of one page. You need a pencil to begin with and a ruler, my favorite ruler is your typical coulters ruler 6 inches wide, half of a 12x12 is 6 so it really makes it easy for you, you can find these in any quilt store, any craft store, they’re handy all the way around. So stay tuned because what we’re going to do now is make our handy dandy map and you’ll keep this forever and whenever you need a quick gift, jump to your map to do your 6x6 gift."
