"Hi my name is Shotsie Gorman. I'm here as a tattoo artist, professional tattoo artist for Expert Village. Once we have the client comfortable with the location and of course we resolve the design. We know what it's approximately going to look like on the skin. It's always a variation in theme and color on the skin depending on ones natural skin tones or melanin. Whatever color you are changes the colors of the final tattoo. Once that's in place and we have him comfortable the station is set up so that everything that is touched is covered with a plastic barrier. This is all done to prepare for to block what is called cross contamination. So anything that makes contact with is body fluids is either plastic or disposable. The needles and tubes themselves have been sterilized even though the needles have never been used before. They are sterilized in an autoclave sterilizer. At the end of the tattoo they are disposed of in a sharps container. Every aspect of things I am working with is covered with plastic and is all single service. So the pigments themselves are stored in jars and then those jars are emptied out into the small containers for single service. And then those are disposed of and everything is thrown away that we use for this particular client."
