"Hi, my name is Shotsie Gordon. I'm here as a professional tattoo artist for Expert Village. So this is the drawing that we've been working on conceptually for what Lucas has in mind for his back. We wanted to create a bonzai feeling tree and then an archway like a canyon, looking out from the canyon. He was thinking he might go black and white or black and grey, but then he decided he was going to go with color. Originally we were thinking of making this a moon and very misty with a mystical quality, but he decided he was going to go with the sunset, which is a higher value, kind of Caribbean feel to the design. So, here what you see is basically our concept and from here we will place this loose sketch onto his body by creating a transfer. A transfer will be placed on his body so he will be sure where the location is. Then I will go in and actually redraw it as I go along with a tattoo machine, making the best aesthetic decisions that I can to get it finished that way he wants it. So, this is the original pencil sketch with references from many different places. The tree is really my original design, and Luc's original ideas pulled togather into a final design."
