Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Bob Powell Show Goats in Brady, Texas and we are representing Expert Village today. In this clip we are going to talk about how to exercise a show goat. There are several different methods any where from treadmills to running pens. The way we've always done is we put them in a round pen. The best way that I think is to use a dog to chase them. That gets their adrenalin going and gets them excited and it makes them build more muscle. The reason you do exercise a show goat is so you can put the muscle on his rump and down his back. You want his loin to be firm to the touch on everything. You don't want to go in to a show with a fat sloppy goat. That doesn't usually work out very well for you. We ran them with 4-wheelers, horses and dogs. I found that dogs work the best for us and that is basically why we run show goats. I hope this has helped you. "
