"Hi, I am Nipa Banerjee, a representative of Arts Space India talking on behalf of Expert Village. Now, preparation of clay. Earthenware potteries are made up of red body clay and stoneware is made up of white body clay. Stoneware is very popular. Now, the required materials of both the types are the same, but the ratio is different. Proper ratio of each material is very much essential for preparation of clay. As an example, I can show you how to prepare 100 kg of clay. Take a big container and give 50 liter of water. Take 50 kg of black clay, 20 kg of china clay, 20 kg of quartz, 10 kg of fire clay and 10 kg of feltsper for making red clay body. That is for earthenware. This is red body clay, it's brownish in color and this is commonly known as earthenware. Keep all materials in this container and mix very, very smoothly and keep the mixture for 15 days separately. Thank you."
