"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Natalia Paruz, also known as "the saw lady." You can find me in New York City, and today I'm going to teach you how to play a saw. If the blade gets rusty that takes away from the sound, so you want to keep your blade rust free. To do that we use sand paper, the finest sand paper that you can find. We just sand the rust away. Don't be afraid to do it with vigor. It's not going to blemish the blade. Then just use a cloth to wipe it off. If you use a lot of rosin on your bow, rosin will tend to cake across the edge of the blade. Take the rosin off. It's not good if it accumulates. Again, it takes away from the sound produced by the blade. Be careful not to sandpaper the side where we bow because that may alter the shape of the playing edge."
