"On behalf of expertvillage.com my name is Neal Jones and I’m with A Perfect Fit Alterations, we’re on 102 Main Street in historic old town Burleson our phone number is 817-447-3522. Continuing down the front of our serger we have a couple of major differences, it is a sewing machine but it does and has a lot more features than a regular sewing machine. One of the major difference is that we have a built in cutting device which is like a pair of scissors, this is the moveable blade and I can just move the machine a little and you can see it go up and down and behind that there’s a fixed blade, now that behaves just exactly like a pair of scissors would if you were using a pair of scissors. Behind that we have a thumb wheel which controls another device that as the machine is setup to do particular things it would control the width of the stitch, it’ll be able to be pulled out and dropped down out of the way and it’ll be able to be put up into place. We also have a foot that is similar to a sewing machine except it’s somewhat larger and there are a couple of different feet that are used for different projects within the machine. The foot has a release lever at the back right here and it also has a cutting device over on the side and ables you to cut the thread, the needle bar which is right above that is setup so that it can take two different needles we have two little Allen screws here and they’re marked left and right so that you’re able to identify which is the left and the right needle, the little device that I’m holding in my hand is the wrench that is used to change out the needles."

on 11/16/2009 Hi there Sarah and Anne with Handylock 3 Spindles. I just picked up a Handylock 3 Spindle without the manual. Does anyone out there have a copy of a manual that I could have? I purchased the serger for my mom for Christmas because she has always wanted one. Thank you for your help!
Smiles,
Taunya :)

on 1/18/2009 Thanks for the great demos. They have helped a lot since I just got my first serger! I have a Handylock 3 spindle. It worked for several days just fine until yesterday it the top loops were going to the other side and the bottom were coming to the top. They switch back and forth about every 4 inches. I have successfully fixed problems by adjusting the tension, until now. I keep trying the tension knobs, but it doesn't seem to help. I have cleaned and oiled the machine, it has not helped either.
Please help! I want to sew! Also, I have successfully serged with 2 threads only, it only not working when I use the three colors. Thanks for your time!
