Video Transcript

"On behalf of Expert Village I am Nicholas the Storyteller here in Miami, Florida and today I am going to teach you how to tell a story. Do you want to be a character? Do you want to use a costume? Do you want to dress up special for your stories? Well that's fun. I do it all the time, I do it all the time. But it is not necessary. OK? Now the nice thing about being a character is that it gives you some distinction. Everyone will remember that weird guy with the robe and all that sort of thing. But, on the other hand, not being a character, not having a costume, gives you more flexibility. People can come up to you and say, "Would you like to play Santa Claus at our party?" And, if you want to play Santa Claus, hey, you're in business. Now, what I say of course is "No, I promised Santa Claus I wouldn't play Santa Claus if he wouldn't tell stories"."
