The first thing you're going to want to look for in a shop when getting a piercing is the environment. You want to make sure that the floors are clean, that the counters are clean; the people that are going to working on you are courteous and are happy to answer all of your questions and inform you on the befores and afters of your piercing. You want to look at the general work area to make sure that everything is clean, all the tools they're going to be using are sterile and are going to be opened up in front of you.
