"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Pat Louis here in Miami, Florida and I'm going to teach you today how to put together an act. You got to figure out what kind of an audience you're going to be performing to. First of all if you're a singer or a comic and then what is the age group of the people that you're going to be doing your performance to. There are many types of venues here in Florida where I work. There is a lot of the communities that are the retirement type homes and various incorporations that have award nights, things of that nature. So you got to be determined who are you going to be performing for. What kind of material are you going to use? If you're a singer generally music of all types will appeal to people. There are some things you're going to need to do when you're singing 13-14 songs in a row. You also need to as a comic keep it going and you may have to get particular songs, maybe some novelty songs to keep it going as well. The main thing is you have to make sure that your material is appropriate for the audience that you are performing to."
