"Hello! This is Peggy Charlton from Expert Village on how to write an essay. I would like to emphasis on sentence structure and vocabulary for an essay. You do not want to write short choppy sentences. It says I'm dumb. If you write John hit the ball. John went down the road. John saw flowers out in the field. John really likes this girl. These are short, choppy, and awful. Subject verbs. If every sentence starts with a subject and verb, it's not a good essay. You need to bring in phrases and clauses like because John went down the street then he blah, blah. You need to use words like if, because, or while I was doing or whatever. You don't want to start the sentence subject, verb, subject, verb, subject, verb."
