Video Transcript

"Hello! This is Peggy Charlton from Expert Village on how to write an essay. I'm talking about the body of the essay now. You're not just going to put in a paragraph Abraham Lincoln was born in Missouri, he ended up growing up, and he went to school. No. That is a horrible point. You've got to give those facts, the statistics, and anything else that you find on Abraham Lincoln out of your research and things like that. Each point should be well developed with 6-8 sentences and flows well. In other words, not choppy and going from topic to topic, but flowing. You can put it in words like also, consequently, however, therefore, and things like that. That will help your point flow. When you're writing your body, you're going to have your first point and your second point and your third point. You do not want to have just one point. "
