"This Peggy Charlton for Expert Village on writing a news story journalistically and today I am going to talk about the actual body of the paper. When you are writing an essay for an English class, you are going to have long paragraphs, long words, high vocabulary. Guess what? It is not like that in journalistic writing. It is not wordy you are going to use as few words as possible because details are not going to be in the newspaper. They are going to be in the magazines or your books but you are not going to have wordiness. You will have details but not going to have those details elaborated on in long long paragraphs. A new story is going to have 10 or 15 paragraphs whereas an English essay only has 3, 4 or 5 so concise writing, tight writing or say as much as possible in as few or short words. "
