"Hi! This is Peggy Charlton from Expert Village and today I would like to talk to you about how to write in a journalistic manner and obviously for the length purposes, you can't write the whole story in the lead but your should empathize the important things. It should be about 28 or 30 words long so that is what you look for in the lead and I am going to show you an example of a lead from the Houston Chronicle. Thousands of family that is who, who received what, family housing assistance prior to another what Katrina & Rita and then were displaced by the hurricanes will continue to get free or reduced rents through June 30, 2008 that's what the U.S. Housing Secretary said Monday. So there is an example of a lead giving you kind of an overview of what that story is going to be about. "
