Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Peggy Charlton from Expert Village and today I would like to talk to you about how to write in a journalistic style manner. I would suggest you not bring your tape recorder because sometimes that is very intimidating to people. But if you do want to bring one for a backup, make sure you always get permission from the person to not have it hidden, you know or something like that. So the first thing is gathering your facts. So you are going to have to know what you are going to write a feature story on or what are you going to do a new story on and then you do some research maybe on the Internet about that. Then you are going to write your questions up prior to. When you get to your interview, make sure you are there on time. Try to be there 10 minutes early. Feel at ease and interview your subject and write everything down. The best time to write your newspaper is immediately after while everything is fresh on your mind. "
