"Now we're going to learn the benefits of the crimping bead. We know they're very tiny in nature as you can see down here on the table. We have very small crimping beads. There's actually 2 different types. You've got your circular type of crimping bead and you have the bar type of crimping bead. It's mainly an ascetic issue whether you want a bar shape or a round shape. Either way they'll be flat. Whenever you have a necklace, those are the 2 things you have to decide. The crimping beads help to keep your beads in place while you're making a necklace. For example, if I wasn't finished with this but I was going to come back to it later, I just add that crimping bead on there and I don't have to worry about my beads going everywhere. Then when I come back to it, I can simply take my pliers in here and unflatten the crimping and take it off. Crimping beads are also beneficial for something like this bracelet where it didn't really have enough elastic to the tie this, but I used the crimping bead to keep this in place so I can use my magnetic clasp. There's lots of wonderful benefits to using crimping beads, and these are just a few of them."
