Prepping the Sleeves for T-Shirt Designs

"Hi, I'm Melina Piroso and welcome to Expert Village. So once we've cut our beautiful scoop neckline, the next thing we are going to do is change the sleeve. What we're going to do, you have two options; well you have many options, but the main two is you can remove the sleeve completely and have a nice tank top look, or you can take off a piece of the sleeve and do a cap sleeve. Which is a really cute little bit half over the shoulder. So, we're going to do a cap sleeve. You're going to fold your T-Shirt in half and you're going to make sure that the seams are together. You are going to try to make it as even as possible, and you're going to go ahead and you're going to pin your T-Shirt. Then you're going to take your sleeves and you're going to match up the ends of your sleeves and you're going to pin them together right at the top. So, the next step in this project is drawing out where our cap sleeve is going to go. So we are going to go ahead and mark it off. You are going to want to make sure that you leave at least 1/2 inch because when you sew this, you are going to pull this in at least another 1/2 inch so you need 1/4 inch under there. With a cap sleeve, it is really up to you how big, small, or exaggerated you want to make it. Once we have it drawn in, we are going to take our pins and pin all along the seam lines, and you are going to cut right on the line; right like that."
