"Hi. I'm Michelle and I'm here today on behalf of Expert Village. We're gonna learn how to knit a scarf for beginners and while we're doing that we'll also go over some basic tips that you need to know to get started in knitting. Everybody makes mistakes. And a very common one when you're knitting is to drop a stitch as you go along. So right now I think it would be a good idea if I show you how to pick that stitch back up again. As I was working with the cream in my scarf I noticed that right here. I dropped a stitch. So, I'll complete the three stitches that were properly done while I get to that place. And now I'm gonna pick up the stitch that I dropped. Using my crochet hook I'm just gonna slide it, sometimes it's hard to make things look easy. I'm gonna slide it right through the last stitch I've completed. And here, in this row is where there should be a knit stitch and isn't. So, I can grasp that yarn with the hook, pull it through and there is my knit stitch. Right where it should be. I just slide it right back on to this other needle because that's the needle that I'm gonna be knitting from. And we just knit it as though we never made the mistake in the first place."
