"Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make a beautiful necklace out of polymer clay. The first thing we are going to do is select the colors that match out scheme. Now polymer clay can get a little bit pricey so one thing to do so you don't have to waste a lot of color clay is to get a lot of this. This is clear clay. What you can do with this is you can put it in the middle of your beads so you don't have to use a whole block of color. You have some clear in the middle. You can also swirl it around within the bead and it looks really cool once it baked. It has a nice translucent look to it, it almost looks 3-D. So we are going to use purple, we are going to use green, we are going to use clear, we are going to take some yellow to mix in with the green so we can have different shades. We are going to take a little bit of blue to mix in with our purple so we get different shades of purple even some white. "
