"Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make a beautiful necklace out of polymer clay. The first step in this project is we are going to make a quick sketch of our necklace. Just so we don't end up wasting a lot of time moving clay and not liking the design. So we are going to go ahead and do just a quick sketch it does not have to be very intricate. Just so we know what kind of thing we are going to create. What we are going to do is we are going to make a necklace that has the illusion of a leaf. A leaf necklace so out pendent is going to be shaped like a leaf. From the side it is a flatten a piece of clay. It has the back rolled back to create a space for the string to go through. It is going to be our little green leaf design and we are going to put crystals all the way around the edges. We are going to make some matching beads and I decided for this necklace I'm going to do purple and green, oval purple beads and round green beads. That sounds like a good plan. "
