"Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today we are going to make a beautiful mushroom butterfly incense burner out of polymer clay. For this next step we're going add a body to the butterfly. So we're going to take some black clay and we're going to roll out a thin log. And this is probably the easiest thing you'll ever sculpt because a butterfly body is pretty easy it's just a thin little strip of clay. And you can measure it, you don't want to make it too big. If you want to make the head you can fold over a piece like this and make the head so you get this kind of shape. What we're going to do is we're going to take our poker and we're going to cross-hatch our butterfly wings and add some glue. And then we're going to attach the butterfly body. They have these kind of grooves across their body so it's actually grooves. We're going to make some grooves across the body like this. Then we're going to take two gems and you want to make sure you're using gems that have a have a diamond back. Then you're going to take your poker and you're going to poke two eye holes. And then you're going to pick up the gem with your finger and you should have enough natural oils on your finger to pick up the gem and you're going to put it right in the hole."
