"Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today we're going to make a polymer clay bowl. For this next step, we're going to take our completed bowl and put it in the clay oven. If you don't have a clay oven you can use a regular toaster oven or you can use a conventional oven. You want to make sure you keep it on top of foil. You never want a put the clay on top of a surface where you put food on. So don't just pop it on a tray, put in on a piece of foil. What you want to do before hand is, you want to take a paper towel that has a little bit of oil on it. Just oil it down a little. So slightly so that you can't even see the oil. You just want to put a really thin coat so that the clay doesn't stick to it when it cooks. Then what you going to do is that sure that your bowl is sitting on top of its foot and we're going to put it in the oven at 275? and we're going to bake it for about15 minutes. So we're going to go ahead, pop it in the oven and we're going to set our timer for 15 minutes and 275?. Once we've let our clay bowl cook a little bit, we're going to open up the oven and we're going to let some of the heat leave the oven before we go ahead and take our bowl out. Once you've let the heat out, go ahead remove the bowl very carefully and put it in a safe place where you can let it dry completely before unattaching it from the mold."
