"Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today we are going to make a polymer clay bowl. For the next step, we are going to create a base for our bowl. So we are going to take some colors that match the cane that we made. So since we used yellow and purple, I'm going to take some yellow and I'm just making a round little ball here and then I'm going to take some purple since I used purple. But basically what you want a round flat piece that is going to be the base of the bowl. So once you have a nice round piece, you're going to flatten it with your roller. Try to keep it even because this is what you're bowl is going to sit on. It's going to sit on top of this base and if you want you can just use a flat piece like this or what I like to do is, I like to have a center piece like this and then I like to create a long matching piece that goes around it like this. When our bowl is complete it is going to sit on top of the base like this."
