"Hello, my name is Melisa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about how to deal with a bully. In this clip let's talk about where can people find help when dealing with a bully. Of course, anyone who is being bullied really needs to know that they are not alone, that there is help available to them. Either their parents, their teachers or their friends, but a great one is if you are in search of how do I help my child, go onto the internet, go onto the websites and type in something like bullying helpline. There's always a kids helpline available in Canada, in the U.S., all across the world actually, the kids help phone, there are people there 24 hours a day that can talk to kids and they serve kids all the way from ages 5 usually, to up to 20 or even up to 25 years of age. All of these kids have all sorts of different issues or problems to deal with and it's not always about being bullied, but at least kids, students, young people will know that they are not alone, that they are not the only ones being bullied, that has been in this situation. Anyone being bullied needs to know that they are not alone while they are building their self confidence. At the beginning of this, that is fundamentally the most important to know that you're not alone but we have to work on building confidence and that's where spread the sunshine comes into play and that's what we'll talk about in this upcoming clip."
