"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to learn how to make paper snowflakes. In this example, I wanted to show you another way that we've cut the snowflake, the center of the snowflake, out. Instead of our earlier clip where we cut it on an angle, what we went ahead and did is we cut it straight across instead of up and down on the angle. Of course, that earlier example formed a star in the center. We have something in this case that is just a little bit closer to a circle. You can see as we proceed or progress in our examples, we're getting a little bit more intricate with our cuts and our ideas. Again, be as creative as you want to. You can do so many neat things. All you have to do is to keep in mind these 2 points here. That will start to formulate in your head the certain patterns that you want to make and what the snowflakes will turn out to. You'll be able to start to visualize what they'll look like. In this case, what we did again is we cut the top off here. That's what gave us our circle in the center. Then I went across the bottom here and cut it on kind of an angle, then went up, and then formed sort of like this little cut in here that went in, up, back out, formed into a triangle here, and then up to the edge and cut it off. You want to again cut the top off. Then you've got 2 parts right in here. A little triangle here. This one, I don't know if you can see it close enough, but it forms a bit of a triangle but then it went in just a little bit more. Then this is what will give you these neat sort of outer edges of the snowflakes right in here, which is just a little bit different than a triangle. It gives you a little bit more of an intricate design. We've got one more example in our final clip. That's coming up. "
