"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to learn how to make paper snowflakes. In this clip, let me show you an example of where we do have the center cut out. In this snowflake, we have a star cut out in the center. A star is actually very easy to make. We have to keep in mind again, if we go back to our diagram that we've drawn here. Again, the triangle here represents the paper triangle that we're cutting out of course. Then this is the finished product here. If you keep in mind the 2 points, the 2 most important points, D and E here. If we cut off the top part as we mentioned in earlier clips, which is D, then you're going to be left with some sort of a hole in the center. Since we've cut sort of a diagonal line here off the top, that gives up the star. We're going to cut that there and then we're going to make another cut down here like so, and then 2 triangular cuts off the side here like this. Then you're left with a snowflake that looks like that. "
