"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to learn how to make paper snowflakes. In this clip, let's talk about how to choose your scissors in order to make those paper snowflakes. In earlier clips, we've done our folds and we've made our cuts. What we need to talk about again is all the different types of scissors you can use. Again, with a snowflake of this size, I use this size of paper right here, made it into a square, made all of my cuts. It's very easy to use a regular size, a large pair of scissors. If you wanted to get either the 8 1/2 x 11 is we'll say a medium size snowflake. No problem. You can still get away with a larger pair of scissors. If you want to make something that's very intricate, very small where you're talking about a square that might not necessarily be this size, but something like this, much smaller, then you're going to need and intricate pair of scissors. The smaller the better. They make scissors that are even smaller than this. You might even want to use an Exacto knife or something with a sharp blade and actually cut incisions on of course, a cutting board, not the table. To make some really cool snowflakes that you can even piece on to your Christmas tree and such and use it like that too. You can get some really neat designs. Today, I'm just going to teach you the basics."
