"Hi, this is Jon, and in this clip we will be doing our finish sanding. For my final sanding, I'm going to start off with a piece of 120 grit sandpaper and I'm just going to sand it manually and I'm going to go over my entire project. Any type of burn marks or maybe paint residue from the lumber, I'm going to make sure and sand that out real good. In addition, I'm going to be using my sandpaper along all of my curved edges and that's going to help just smooth those out just a little bit. One tip that you can do is invert a palm sander in your vise, turn it on, and work your piece around that sandpaper. Once you've sanded your entire project with the 120 grit sandpaper, we're going to come back and sand it again with the 220 grit sandpaper. This is going to give us a smoother finish, and it's going to make it feel a lot softer. Once sanded, we can really start to see how our project is coming together."
