"Hi, this is Jon, and in this clip we will be cutting out our pieces. To cut out my pieces, I am going to be using the band saw, and I'm first going to just make a real rough cut, just to separate the two pieces. I'm next going to remove my lower radius. Now since this is a pretty wide radius, I'm not going to make any relief cuts and I'll talk about those when we cut the other side. Now when I made this cut, I got as close as I could to the line, but I did try to leave the line. What I'm going to do is I'm then going to, after I make all my cuts, take it over and sand it down to that line. The next thing I'm going to do is come in and make a few relief cuts and then I'm going to make my big, long cut. Now the purpose of these relief cuts is that when I get into this tight curve, the blade is going to be less likely to bind up on that. Next, I'm just going to continue with the same procedure for my second piece. "
