"In this clip I'm going to show you a few of the items that you'll need to add to your soap base before you pour it into your mold. And starting over here we have different colors. This is a powdered color, called powderizing color, and some of them come in a pearl tone. Or they have liquid colors that you can just add to your base as well. And then we have our fragrances over here. A lot of these are just sold at your crafting stores. They have stress relief formulas and floral fragrances. And in addition to using the crafting supplies, you can even go to your health food stores and just use essential oils. Here I have a rose and I have a lavender, and essential oils work just as well. And even right in your own kitchen cupboard, we have here a peppermint extract, which is very invigorating and makes a nice scent for a soap. Now some of the dry ingredients that we might add for different scrubbing properties would be apricot seed and oatmeal, ground up oatmeal is more of a gentler exfoliant. And then for our scrubbing bars, Gardner's bars we're going to be making later, here's some cornmeal. And then I have dried basil, which we're going to be putting in some kitchen herb bars, and basil is good for anti-bacterial properties, it makes it a good bar for the kitchen. And then in this one we have some eucalyptus leaves, which definitely stimulates the respiratory system and helps with those head colds and different flus going around at flu season time. And then in this last one we have some chamomile, which is also known as like a mild astringent and is very calming, and is a nice addition to some of your bars. So these are just a few of the items, and of course it just depends on your personal preference or your personal need for additives to add into your soap. "
