"Hi, this is Katie Roney with Expert Village. We are talking about how to conduct any interview. In the previous discussion we were explaining why it's important to go over a resume very thoroughly. This discussion we're going to talk about why you want to give the candidate a chance to match up his or her own skills. This is the part, as the interviewer, where you can kind of take a back seat, and really let them show you why they're here, why they're qualified, why you'd want to see them back, or you know, why they're going to be a good fit for the position, ultimately. They're going to go over their responsibilities, you want to let them discuss their history. So what you would do is just address the candidate, and ask them, you know, what is it, what have you done that is, that makes you a good fit for the position? Can you show me on the resume? That's going to be the kicker. More than likely anything that they have not done on their resume may not be perceived as professional and that may not be a great fit, that may be something they do on the side. You definitely want to make sure that everything that is on the job description is on the resume. Phil, in this sales manager position there's a lot of, you know, handling others and, really just roping the team together, sure, and working with the other salesmen. I want to go o.. I want you to actually go over your history, if you will, and just take me through your resume, okay, and just show me exactly, you know, where you gained your experience and how it's relevant to our position. Sure. Well most recently, it sounds like from what you told me so far that you're...."
