"Hi, my name is Ken D. Orlich on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we?re going to remove a resistor and test it. Make sure to wear safety glasses. We're going to heat up the soldering iron. You can determine a resistor by the colored bands. The colored bands tell the value of the resistor. This one says orange, black, red, which are 3,0, and 2, respectively. This is a 3000 ohm resistor. The gold on the end is the tolerance. Gold is 10%. This resistor should be 3000 ohms plus or minus 10%. So let's remove that. If you've been following along, you know how to remove solder. Bend back the leads, first."
